After more than three decades in broadcasting, Mason suddenly found himself on the beach. That sounds nice, but it’s just broadcast lingo for unemployed. It was time for a new line of work, and Planes, Trains and Travel was born.
Since he was ten years old, Mason loved all kinds of transportation. While growing up in Seattle, he’d buy a day pass for the local bus system and ride around. Those trips often took him to the airport, the ferry dock, or the train station. He dreamed of traveling, and within a few years, he was booking his own trips by plane and train. Since then, Mason has booked countless trips for himself and others. He’s an expert on the ins and outs of finding a great fare, how to maximize miles and points for free travel, and how to get the most enjoyment from the journey itself.
Mason is a traveler at heart, and no destination is unworthy of a visit. If it’s off the beaten path, even better. He’s been to all 50 U.S. states, all 10 Canadian provinces, and dozens of countries from the offbeat to the awe-inspiring. Every place he’s visited has been unforgettable.
